Payment & Invoice
The new Payment Accounts Act (ZKG) will come into force on September 14, 2019.
For you as a FRANZIS customer and also as a customer of other online shops, this means that when paying by credit card or PayPal, you will also have to authenticate yourself using two-factor authentication. This is necessary for amounts of €20 or more.
Please ask your payment service provider (e.g., your credit card company) or your bank about the authentication process. They should have already informed you about this change.
In addition, you have the option of asking your bank or payment service provider to add FRANZIS GmbH to a so-called “white list” (trusted payment recipients). This means that you will no longer be asked for second authentication for future purchases from FRANZIS. Please ask your bank or payment service provider for the relevant regulations.
Please note the following information when redeeming a voucher code in our FRANZIS shop.
Add the desired product to your shopping cart. Then click on “Edit shopping cart.” On a new page, you will find a box titled “I have a voucher” under your selected product. After clicking on this, you can redeem the voucher code.
Please note that vouchers can never be applied to price-controlled goods such as books and e-books!

To make payment as convenient and easy as possible for you, you can choose between different payment methods when ordering at www.franzis.de.
Purchase on account
At www.franzis.de, you can conveniently pay by invoice for orders with a value of up to EUR 100 (including VAT, excluding shipping costs) per purchase, starting with your second order. Purchase on account is only available to customers from Germany, Austria, or Switzerland (the delivery address is decisive). If you choose “purchase on account,” you have up to 14 days after receipt of the goods to pay the invoice amount.
Payment via instant bank transfer
Sofortüberweisung is an online payment system based on proven online banking with PIN/TAN entry for fast processing of your online purchases. All you need is your account number, bank code, PIN, and TAN.
Using the secure payment form provided by Sofort AG, which is not accessible to merchants, this payment service automatically transfers the amount to your online bank account in real time. The purchase amount is transferred directly to Germinal's bank account. Of course, you authorize your Sofort transfer by entering your PIN and TAN numbers.
If you select “Sofortüberweisung” as your payment method, at the end of the order process, when you click on the order button, you will be redirected to the Sofortüberweisung transfer form in your browser for further payment processing. In a pre-filled transfer form, you only need to enter your bank details with the corresponding password and your name and then confirm the transaction as usual with a TAN. When switching from the FRANZIS shop to the Sofortüberweisung website, the data required for payment processing is transmitted to SOFORT AG, Fußbergstraße 1, 82131 Gauting (Germany), so that the payment can be made via Sofortüberweisung as requested. Payment in advance
For orders of printed books and other physical goods, payment in advance is also possible. Orders for downloadable products cannot be paid for in advance. After placing your order, you will receive an email on the following business day containing all the important information you need to pay the invoice amount.
The goods will be shipped immediately after receipt of payment. Please note: depending on the bank, the payment process can take between 2-3 business days, and longer for international transfers.
