The Porsche turbo engine as a functional model
The Porsche 911 Turbo was a technological pioneer in the realm of high-performance sports cars. The massive rear spoiler made it clear even when stationary what raw power lay dormant beneath the classic bodywork – and it was a challenge to the competition.
For the 1975 model year, the then-new turbo technology was incorporated into the six-cylinder boxer engine from Zuffenhausen, delivering explosive performance that was among the world's best in the mid-1970s.
Gradually, a functional, detailed, and partially transparent engine model is assembled from around 200 individual parts, with all components moving just like in the full-scale version.
The individual parts can be easily snapped and screwed together – without any glue.
